Ride Planning Has Begun!

First pre-ride of 2023

With just under four months to go until the 2023 Caja del Rio Endurance Ride, I took my stallion, Taiyou, out to pre-ride the Vista Loop this past weekend. As the name implies, the Vista Loop is an easy, relatively flat loop filled with panoramic views of the Caja del Rio Plateau to the southwest, the Sangre de Cristos Mountains to the east, and the Jemez Mountains and the Pajarito Plateau to the north.

Measuring just under 11 miles, the Vista Loop will comprise the entirety of the intro loop and will also be included in the 30- and 50-mile distances for the 2023 ride. In response to feedback from our 2022 riders, this loop has been modified for simplicity and ease of navigation, as shown in the map below.

We will be continuing to post trail updates, maps, and more information as we approach May 27, 2023, so don’t forget to check in on the website (www.endurancenm.com) or follow our Facebook page.

Happy trails!
