The Caja del Rio Endurance ride is one of the few endurance rides in New Mexico and is at risk of disappearing. This year, there has been a 50% drop in entries, which means ride management could lose a lot of money. This sport relies on the passion of riders, ride managers, and our amazing volunteers. We work hard to create enjoyable and memorable events, not for profit, but to support a sport we love.
We want to keep offering this ride in Northern New Mexico, but we need support from our endurance community. Please sign up for this year’s event. We have beautiful high desert trails and a friendly community. If you’re not sure your horse can handle the endurance distances, we provide untimed introductory rides every day. If you don’t have a horse, we always welcome volunteers. If you, like me, want to grow and support our endurance community in New Mexico, please back this ride! We plan to move forward with the event because if we don’t get enough entries, this might be the last year we can hold it, and we want to provide a memorable ride to those who have already signed up.
While prepayment is appreciated, it is not required. We truly value your support, and donations of entries are also welcome to help keep the ride going in the future. Every contribution, whether financial or volunteer time and energy, helps us continue offering this event for everyone. We hope to see you at the 2026 Caja del Rio Endurance Ride!
